GOD IS IN CONTROL

Luke 22:31 (KJV) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

Throughout the teachings of Jesus and the experiences of His disciples, we gain deep insights into the interaction between spiritual forces and the authority of God. Before His crucifixion, Jesus tells His disciples that Satan has asked to test them, particularly mentioning Peter (Simon). This shows a timeless truth – the devil, despite his evil plans, is not in charge. God’s authority is supreme, and He allows trials not to hurt us, but to strengthen and lift us up.

Reflecting on the story of Job, we see a strong example of this idea. Satan’s control over Job was limited by God, showing that God is ultimately in charge even when things are tough. Similarly, when faced with many demons, Jesus showed His power by allowing them to enter the pigs. These stories remind us that the devil’s power is restricted by God’s plan.

The words of Jesus tell us that while Satan may try to harm believers, God has the power to control him. This means that we can feel secure, knowing that Satan’s ability to harm us is limited. This gives us hope and strength, knowing that God protects and cares for us.

Jesus knew a lot about the spiritual world and understood the difficult times His followers would go through. When He warned Peter about a personal test, it was also a sign of the larger spiritual battle believers will face. Even in this warning, Jesus assured Peter of His protection, showing His caring love for all who turn to Him for safety. His love has deep meaning, showing how much Christ’s prayers can change us and save us from sin. He is our Eternal High Priest, and He always prays for us to the Father.

As we journey through life’s challenges, the timeless wisdom found in Jesus’ teachings remains incredibly relevant. They act as a guiding light, assuring us that difficulties are not meant to overcome us. Instead, they present opportunities for personal growth, strength, and ultimately, a stronger trust in God’s unwavering control. Let’s accept these truths and draw strength from knowing that God, in His limitless wisdom and love, is ultimately in charge of our futures.
